Jakarta, Feb. 24 -- The Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) informed that 44 scholarship awardees have been sanctioned for failing to fulfill their service obligations as stipulated.
Of these, eight have been sanctioned and are required to return their scholarship funds, while 36 others are still under investigation.
"We have conducted research and anticipate that there may be more than 600 awardees. Of those, sanctions have been determined, including the return of eight, and the remaining 36 are being processed," the President Director of LPDP, Sudarto, said in a press conference on Monday (February 23).
