Malang, E Java, July 9 -- The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) Center recorded a significant increase in tourist visits to Mount Bromo in East Java in the first half of 2025 compared to the year-ago period.
"Yes, the increase in tourist numbers is quite significant," Endrip Wahyutama, public relations officer of the TNBTS Center, said in Malang city, East Java, on Wednesday.
According to data from the TNBTS Center, total tourist visits to Mount Bromo reached 321,732 in the first half of 2025, or up 58,758 from 262,974 in the first half of 2024.
While 309,564 domestic tourists and 12,168 international tourists visited Mount Bromo in the first half of this year, 256,224 domestic and 6,750 international visitors came to the area...
