Jakarta, July 23 -- Indonesia's Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) has granted an accreditation certificate to the World Halal Trust (WHT) of Lithuania, making it a foreign halal institution (LHLN) recognized by the agency.
In a statement delivered in Jakarta on Wednesday, BPJPH head Ahmad Haikal Hasan said that the certificate was issued upon the completion of the accreditation process by a cross-sectoral team.
"Through this effort, the BPJPH continues to expand international cooperation to ensure the halal status of products entering, circulating, and traded in Indonesia," he added.
The accreditation certificate was presented by Hasan to a WHT representative, Farouk, in Jakarta.
