Tangerang, Aug. 3 -- Lion Air Group has issued a statement regarding a bomb threat on flight JT-308 operating the Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport/CGK) to Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang, North Sumatra) route on Saturday (August 2).

Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, in an official statement received in Tangerang on Sunday, explained that the emergency threat was caused by one of the airline's passengers.

"While the aircraft had already pushed back, a male passenger, identified by the initial H, informed the cabin crew of a bomb on board," he said.
