Jakarta, Dec. 16 -- The National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) Governor Ace Hasan Syadzily warned that national development and natural resource management that ignores environmental balance could lead to potential social and economic crises.

Therefore, he said, various national development programs, particularly in the economic sector, must take sustainable environmental balance into account.

"When natural resource management neglects the principles of balance and sustainability, ecological risks will increase and, in the end, lead to potential crises," Syadzily said during the 2025 Year-End Reflection and the 2026 Outlook here on Tuesday.
