Jakarta, May 5 -- Manpower Minister Yassierli announced his plan to engage in discussions with representatives from workers' unions and the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) to advance the formation of the National Labor Welfare Council.
"What strategic steps will we take? First, we will listen to the aspirations of labor union leaders this week. Opinions from Apindo will also be taken into account," he stated in Jakarta on Monday.
The minister said he would bring up the council establishment plan with the National Tripartite Cooperation Agency and the National Wage Council.
