Jakarta, Oct. 24 -- The Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) officially received the KRI Belati-622 warship from the Ministry of Defense on Friday, symbolizing the Navy's drive to modernize its main defense equipment.

" KRI Belati-622 is a realization of TNI-AL's priority development program, focusing on the modernization and fulfillment of naval main weapon systems," Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali said at the Military Sealift Command headquarters.

The 60-meter fast attack craft highlights naval modernization through its distinctive hybrid engine system. This system combines a water jet and a propeller, which allows the ship to save fuel while maintaining powerful performance.
