Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- The General Elections Commission (KPU) and the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand the dissemination of election information and political education to the public.

"Election education, political education, cannot only occur during the lead-up to the election. I think in a non-stage year like this, election education processes are crucial, political education is crucial," KPU Chairman Mochammad Afifuddin said at the KPU Office in Jakarta on Monday.

Afifuddin stated that elections in Indonesia involve many stakeholders, so the KPU collaborates with many parties in their implementation.
