Jakarta, Jan. 14 -- The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) seized over Rp350 billion in cash as part of its ongoing investigation into former Kutai Kartanegara District head Rita Widyasari's alleged acceptance of gratuities.

KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto announced here, Tuesday, that on January 10, 2025, the KPK confiscated Rp350,865,006,126.78.

Furthermore, investigators seized USD6,284,712.77 from 15 accounts linked to the suspect and associated parties. Additionally, 2,005,082 Singapore dollars were also seized from an account tied to the case.

"These funds are suspected to have originated from criminal activities related to the case," Sugiarto stated.
