Jakarta, June 26 -- The Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) has prepared mitigation efforts to protect Indonesian migrant workers in the Middle East amid escalating tensions in the region.

"We are mitigating by continuously collecting data," Minister Karding stated while inaugurating the Migrant Workers' Golden Village in three villages in Wonosobo, as stated by the ministry, here on Wednesday.

Karding explained that his ministry continues to monitor around two thousand Indonesian migrant workers in Qatar.

The ministry has also provided guidance and information to help avoid the impacts of conflict following a retaliatory attack by Iran on a United States military base in Qatar.
