Jakarta, Feb. 1 -- The National Commission on Disabilities (KND) and the Ministry of Human Rights have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on respecting, protecting, fulfilling, enforcing, and promoting the rights of people living with disabilities (P5HPD).

KND commissioner Jonna Aman Damanik said here on Saturday that the agreement signed on Friday is focused on integrating the human rights perspective for individuals with disabilities.

The purpose of the MoU is to eliminate the stigma against people with disabilities and transform existing policies to align with the goals of P5HPD, which conforms with the development programs initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.
