Jakarta, May 27 -- Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Indonesia, Serzhan Abdykarimov, has reaffirmed his country's commitment to strengthening economic relations with Indonesia.

"I would like to reiterate Kazakhstan's commitment to strengthening economic ties with Indonesia. We are very keen to create environment that will direct investment in our collaboration," he said at the launch of the Salam Kazakhstan magazine in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to Ambassador Abdykarimov, Kazakhstan and Indonesia share many characteristics and aspirations.

For instance, both countries have rich natural resources and are leaders in their respective regions -- Kazakhstan in Central Asia and Indonesia in Southeast Asia, he said.
