Jakarta, June 10 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) announced that evacuation services for thousands of fire victims in the densely populated area of Kapuk Muara, North Jakarta, have been extended for another three days.
BNPB's Director of Emergency Resource Support, Agus Riyanto, stated here on Tuesday that the Jakarta Provincial Government would implement the extension after receiving permission from the landowner of the evacuation site.
"The evacuation service will continue for the next three days, based on an extension permit granted by PT DHI, the owner of the land being used for the evacuation site," he explained.
