Jakarta, March 29 -- State-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has served 1,445,965 passengers as of March 28, 2025, during the 2025/1446 Hijriah Eid al-Fitr homecoming transportation period.
"During the Eid transportation period, total sales exceeded 3.3 million. Until March 28, KAI had served 1,445,965 customers," KAI Vice President of Public Relations Anne Purba confirmed on Saturday.
Purba revealed that March 28 marked the peak of Eid homecoming travel in 2025, with ticket sales reaching a daily total of 215,646-184,008 for long-distance train tickets (KAJJ) and 31,638 for local train tickets managed by KAI.
