Jokowi's UN speech accentuates Indonesia's support for Palestine
Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in a pre-recorded speech before the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on Wednesday, Jakarta time, re-emphasized that Indonesia will not waver from its stance to consistently offer support for Palestinian independence.
During the general debate session of UN's 75th General Assembly, Jokowi stated that Indonesia remained resolved to contribute to world peace as it aligns with the country's Constitution.
"Indonesia will always fulfill this commitment consistently, including when this country is sitting on the Security Council. We will always put forward the spirit of cooperation, the spirit that benefits everyone. No one, no country should be left behind," Jokowi stated in Indonesian....
