Jambi, July 15 -- The Jambi police claimed, Monday, that at least 800 thousand Indonesians could be prevented from falling into drug abuse after officers thwarted two drug couriers' attempt to transport 200 kilograms of dried marijuana to Java.

The suspects, identified only as I and RR, were arrested after a minibus they used to deliver the drug package from Riau to Java Island was intercepted while passing through Jambi City on Saturday, July 12, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

According to Jambi City Police Chief Senior Commissioner Boy Sutan Binanga Siregar, his officers tracked the suspects' movements based on valuable intelligence regarding their alleged drug trafficking operation.
