Jakarta, Oct. 18 -- The Jakarta Provincial Government plans to transform unused spaces beneath toll roads into green public areas for residents, especially children, as part of efforts to expand recreational and child-friendly environments in the city.
"I encourage all regions to develop green open spaces for children. I've even asked for parks to be built under toll road pillars," Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said in East Jakarta on Saturday.
He emphasized that expanding green open spaces in the capital is crucial so that children can play and develop through physical activities instead of spending too much time on gadgets at home.
