Jakarta, Feb. 5 -- The Jakarta provincial government is preparing 20 buses for a new Transjabodetabek route connecting Blok M, a major commercial hub in South Jakarta, with Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten.
Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo announced here on Thursday that the service will operate at intervals of five to ten minutes, ensuring frequent departures for passengers traveling to and from the airport.
The new service is part of Transjakarta, Jakarta's bus rapid transit (BRT) system, which has become one of the city's most important modes of mass transportation since its launch in 2004.
