Jakarta, Jan. 23 -- The Jakarta Provincial Government will help the implementation of Weather Modification Operations (WMO) in buffer areas such as Depok, Tangerang, and other surrounding regions.

"We will cooperate for that (WMO). In other regions, the funding for WMO is not available, and therefore Jakarta will definitely help," Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said at City Hall on Friday.

Previously, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi said that the central government has coordinated with the Jakarta Provincial Government, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), and the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to strengthen WMO in the Greater Jakarta area.
