Jakarta, July 10 -- The Jakarta Transportation Office has said that it is still conducting a comprehensive study to determine suitable locations for the Car Free Night (CFN) program.
"We are currently carrying out a comprehensive study to ensure that the selected CFN location supports the program's sustainability and does not disrupt existing activities in the area," Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo informed here on Thursday.
Liputo said that his side is also conducting secondary benchmarking with major global cities that have implemented similar programs.
"For example, in Hong Kong, the car free night is not held on the main roads, but rather on smaller streets that may need more economic activities," he expounded.
