Jakarta, Sept. 2 -- The Indonesian government aims to restore several Transjakarta bus shelters that were burned during recent riots in Jakarta, with operations expected to resume in less than a week.
"My target is for them to be functional in under seven days," Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He emphasized the importance of quick repairs, noting that the shelters are heavily used, particularly by commuters in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) area.
"Given the severity of the damage, we will at least make them operational as soon as possible," Hanggodo said.
