Jakarta, July 22 -- Schools in Jakarta can partner with local community health centers (puskesmas) to implement the Free Health Checkup (PKG) program for students, a city health official said.
"Puskesmas and schools can coordinate with each other to schedule the PKG so that it doesn't interfere with their core activities," said Jakarta Health Agency Head Ani Ruspitawati on Tuesday.
The PKG program began with the new academic year, starting at Sekolah Rakyat in Cipayung on July 9.
Following its launch at Sekolah Rakyat, the program will continue at schools under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education as well as Islamic madrasahs.
