Jakarta, Aug. 18 -- The Jakarta provincial government deployed nearly two thousand sanitation workers to collect around 79.29 tons of waste generated during the celebrations of Indonesia's 80th Independence Day, which peaked on Sunday (August 17).
"The number of personnel we fielded reached 1,800," Public Relations Official of the Jakarta Environment Office, Yogi Ikhwan, stated in Jakarta on Monday.
Detailing the deployment, he explained that 400 workers were stationed in Central Jakarta, while 200 each were assigned to North, East, South, and West Jakarta.
