Jakarta, Sept. 1 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung announced that the total losses due to infrastructure damage following demonstrations in several areas of Jakarta reached Rp55 billion (US$3.2 million).
According to him, the damage included two Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), namely PT Transjakarta and PT MRT Jakarta.
Several surveillance cameras scattered throughout the capital were also damaged.
Of this figure, losses experienced by PT MRT Jakarta in infrastructure damage amounted to Rp 3.3 billion (US$194 thousand), followed by damage to Transjakarta infrastructure at around Rp 41.6 billion (US$2.4 million), and damage to CCTV and other infrastructure at Rp 5.5 billion (US$324 thousand).
