Jakarta, June 29 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said that the 2025 Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM) brought significant economic benefits to local hotels and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"Hotels along the route are fully booked, and MSMEs are thriving," Anung stated on Sunday.

The governor welcomed the strong public enthusiasm for the event, which drew more than 31,000 participants from Indonesia and 51 other countries.

The city has designated JAKIM 2025 as a key sports tourism event aimed at attracting both domestic and international runners. Anung expressed optimism that businesses, especially in hospitality and retail, would continue to benefit from the momentum.
