Jakarta, Jan. 28 -- Jakarta's transportation agency has again suspended fast boat services from Muara Angke port to the Thousand Islands, citing unsafe weather conditions, extending a halt that began earlier this week.

"Today, fast boats to the Thousand Islands from Muara Angke remain unable to operate because weather conditions are still not conducive," said Muhamad Wildan Anwar, head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency's Water Transport Unit, on Wednesday.

Fast boat services have been suspended since Sunday, Jan. 25, through Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, and operations have yet to resume as of Wednesday.
