Jakarta, Sept. 17 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung reported a decrease in traffic congestion along Jalan TB Simatupang following a trial of an additional lane at the Fatmawati 2 toll gate in South Jakarta.
The trial, conducted daily from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. local time, showed promising results. On the second day, more than 600 vehicles passed through the trial lane-an increase of 38 percent compared to the first day.
"This morning, I received a report from the Head of the Transportation Office. The trial on TB Simatupang has been running for two days. On the first day, approximately 474 vehicles used the lane.
