Jakarta, Dec. 10 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo called on his staff to review all buildings this week to confirm compliance with the relevant rules following a fire in a shophouse in Kemayoran on Tuesday (December 9).

"I had instructed this. We will immediately re-inspect all existing buildings. The real problem isn't with the tall buildings that follow the regulations, but with those that keep emerging," he stated in Central Jakarta, Wednesday.

According to him, the Terra Drone shophouse that caught fire in Kemayoran yesterday did not have a valid Certificate of Functional Worthiness (SLF).

To prevent similar incidents from recurring, the governor plans to regulate buildings that lack safety standards in Jakarta.
