Jakarta, July 9 -- The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) is continuing its weather modification efforts to support emergency response in Jakarta and its surrounding areas from July 7-11, 2025.
These efforts are a precautionary measure to address the possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in the region.
Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday that on Monday, July 7, a Cessna 208 Caravan PK-DPI carried out a flight sortie carrying 800 kg of sodium chloride (NaCl) was conducted over the coastal areas of Banten and Lebak.
