Jakarta, Jan. 29 -- The Ministry of Social Affairs has delivered logistics, deployed disaster preparedness cadets (Tagana), and set up public kitchens in response to the floods witnessed across Jakarta this week.

"The Social Affairs Ministry has distributed logistics to flood-hit areas in West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta. We have also immediately dispatched Tagana to collect data (on the impact of the disaster)," the ministry's acting director of social protection for natural disaster victims, Masryani Mansyur, informed.

Speaking in Jakarta on Wednesday, she said that her team has delivered the assistance in two batches by involving logistics warehouses in Bekasi and Jakarta.
