Jakarta, Feb. 6 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said various activities organized by the Jakarta provincial government during the 2025 Christmas and New Year period helped boost the city's economy.
Based on data released by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Jakarta's economy in 2025 grew by 5.21 percent year on year, higher than the national economic growth of 5.11 percent.
"This means the strong growth was influenced by various activities held to welcome Christmas and New Year, which significantly affected public spending patterns," he said here on Friday.
He said the Jakarta provincial government regularly organizes programs to encourage economic growth.
