Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- The Jakarta government and the Ministry of Public Works (PU) signed a memorandum of understanding as a strategic move to improve the effectiveness of urban waste management in a comprehensive, measurable, and sustainable manner.
Head of the Jakarta Environmental Agency (DLH) Asep Kuswanto stated that this collaboration will be crucial in overcoming the challenges of waste management in Jakarta, which generates over 7,700 tons of waste daily.
"This synergy includes developing a master plan and technical studies for waste management, providing technical guidance, and upgrading waste management infrastructure, including strengthening the Bantargebang Waste Management Facility," he stated in Jakarta on Wednesday.
