Bandung, Sept. 1 -- The Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) has decided to implement online classes from September 1 to 5, 2025, as a precautionary measure following recent demonstrations in several regions that turned violent, including in Bandung.

The policy applies to all ITB campuses in Bandung, Jakarta, Cirebon, and Jatinangor, West Java.

"This decision was made by taking into account the latest situation related to security and comfort in carrying out academic activities," said ITB Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Irwan Meilano in Bandung on Sunday.
