Jakarta, Feb. 15 -- Iran's ambassador to Indonesia said Tehran and Jakarta, as influential middle powers, have a crucial role in promoting peace and stability in Western Asia and Southeast Asia, urging closer coordination between the two countries.
Ambassador Mohammad Boroujerdi said in a special interview with ANTARA on Friday that Iran and Indonesia occupy strategic positions in their respective regions and can contribute meaningfully to regional security.
"I believe that Iran and Indonesia are very important middle powers in Western Asia and Southeast Asia," Boroujerdi said.
