Jakarta, March 22 -- Communication and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid confirmed that Apple's iPhone 16 series received a postel certificate, signifying compliance with Indonesia's standards and technical requirements.

A postel certificate is mandatory for devices that will be made, assembled, imported, used, and traded in Indonesia.

"We informed that (the postel certification) for iPhone 16 has been completed," she remarked on Friday.

Based on a statement from the postel certification website, the Ministry of Communication and Digital has issued postel certificates for five variants of mobile phones in the iPhone 16 series.
