Jakarta, June 14 -- Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR), Puan Maharani, has urged the Indonesian government to collaborate with digital platforms to stop the spread of online gambling content.

She made the request during a visit to tech company Meta's headquarters in California, the United States, on Friday local time, according to a statement.

She praised Meta for actively supporting Indonesia's efforts to fight online gambling. Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest number of online gambling content items blocked on Meta's platforms, she noted.
