Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) is currently working on a business permit issuance system based on a "positive fictitious scheme".
The ministry's deputy for investment climate development, Riyatno, explained that the positive fictitious scheme refers to the automatic issuance of permits if the deadline specified in the licensing process has passed.
"We have mapped out the positive fictitious scheme and hopefully, it can be launched by the minister in the near future," he said after an event entitled "The Business Environment in Indonesia: Exploring the World Bank's Business Ready Report" in Jakarta on Monday.
