Jakarta, April 7 -- National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has ordered an investigation into the alleged incident of violence against an ANTARA photojournalist at Tawang Station, Semarang, Central Java, on Saturday (April 5).

"I just heard about it from the news, and if it is true, I am very sorry for the incident because our relationship with the media is very good. I will investigate and follow up on this," he remarked here on Sunday (April 6).

He also extended an apology for the incident. "Personally, I apologize for the incident and the discomfort it caused to the media," he remarked.

Prabowo noted that his side is investigating whether the alleged perpetrator of the violence was not his aide.
