Jakarta, Dec. 23 -- Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said weather vigilance and infrastructure readiness are key to managing the surge in public mobility during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period.

He said the annual increase in travel during the Christmas-New Year season had been anticipated early, prompting the government to prioritize risk mitigation measures, including close monitoring of weather conditions. Coordination with the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has been strengthened to ensure the readiness of transportation hubs through January.
