Jakarta, April 5 -- The National Alms Agency (Baznas) has called on Indonesians to demonstrate their solidarity and concern for fellow Muslims affected by the devastating earthquake in Myanmar on March 28, 2025, by supporting and donating to recovery efforts.
The 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar caused more than 3,300 deaths and injured over five thousand people.
The quake damaged more than 50 mosques, many of which collapsed while worshippers were performing Friday prayers.
"This is a deeply concerning disaster. Many of our fellow Muslims have lost their places of worship, even their lives. We at Baznas, on behalf of the Indonesian people, feel compelled to help them rise again," Baznas chair Noor Achmad said in a statement issued ...
