Jakarta, Jan. 5 -- The Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization (NAMYO) Indonesia, Tan Taufiq Lubis, said that the United States' (US) military actions in Venezuela violate international law, particularly the principles of state sovereignty and non-intervention.
In a written statement on Monday (Jan 5), he said the actions violate humanitarian law and human rights commitments, undermine the United Nations (UN) peace framework, and reflect US efforts to maintain hegemony.
He stated that the US actions constitute aggression and colonialism that contradict the values of humanity and justice.
