Jakarta, Dec. 10 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received Pakistan's highest civil award, Nishan-e-Pakistan, from President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Presidential Palace in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Nishan-e-Pakistan is the highest honor granted by the Pakistani government to foreign leaders or prominent figures who have contributed greatly to Pakistan nationally and internationally.

According to an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday, the award was presented to President Prabowo in recognition of his significant efforts and outstanding contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Pakistan.
