Jakarta, Aug. 2 -- The Food Task Force of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has initiated oversight on as many as 63,688 markets to protect consumers from losses caused by sub-standard products, notably rice.
"Polri's Food Task Force has taken preventive measures, including overseeing approximately 63,688 markets," Head of Polri's Public Information Bureau, Brig. Gen. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, stated in Jakarta on Friday.
He added that the markets under surveillance include both traditional and modern ones, with the latter numbering over 53 thousand.
