Jakarta, April 2 -- Indonesian National Police (Polri) have announced their traffic management plans for the return travel period following Eid al-Fitr, aiming to ensure smoother journeys.

The Head of Polri's Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated in a press release on Wednesday that the peak of the return flow is anticipated around April 5 or 6.

"We are taking proactive and strategic steps in collaboration with all relevant agencies," he noted.

He explained that a "contraflow" system will be initially implemented on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, starting from kilometer 70 and extending to kilometer 47.
