Jakarta, May 24 -- Indonesia's House of Representatives (DPR) is set to host China's Prime Minister Li Qiang at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Sunday afternoon to explore opportunities for enhancing the two countries' political, economic, and sociocultural ties.

In a statement received here on Saturday, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani said that the planned meeting with PM Li is also expected to pave the way for stronger cooperation between the parliaments of both countries.

"The meeting reflects the shared commitment of Indonesia and China to strengthening their bilateral relations. It is clear that both countries aim to expand cooperation across various strategic areas," she added.
