Palu, C Sulawesi, April 17 -- Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Human Rights, Mugiyanto, has emphasized that human rights must be a fundamental pillar of modern governance and public service.

"State civil servants (ASNs) are at the forefront of implementing policies and delivering public services that are centered on human rights," he said on Thursday.

He made the remarks during a human rights capacity-building session for ASNs at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, as well as the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections.
