Jakarta, Nov. 13 -- The Indonesian Navy expects to take delivery of its new frigate, KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321, from Italy in March 2026, a senior naval officer announced on Wednesday.

Navy spokesperson Rear Adm. Tunggul said the Italian-built frigate, constructed by Fincantieri, will be the second of its class to arrive in Indonesia, following the delivery of KRI Brawijaya-320 in September 2025.

"The ship is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia in March 2026," Tunggul said in Jakarta.

He added that the future crew of KRI Prabu Siliwangi recently completed specialized pre-deployment training-known as the Ship Retrieval Preparation Unit (KPPK)-at Fleet Command II in Surabaya, held from October 13 to November 7, 2025.
