Jakarta, Sept. 2 -- Indonesian musicians and fans are mourning the death of Acil Bimbo , a founding member of the legendary music group Bimbo, who passed away Monday night at age 82 in Bandung, West Java.
Acil, born Raden Darmawan Dajat Hardjakusumah, was celebrated for his spiritual and humanitarian-themed songs, which left a lasting mark on Indonesian music.
Rapper Iwa K paid tribute on Instagram, posting a photo of Acil with the message: "Rest in peace Om Acil Bimbo. You will always be loved. Al-Fatihah."
Gigi frontman Armand Maulana remembered Acil as "a kind person with deeply positive energy" and called him "an extraordinary artist" whose loss resonates across Indonesia's cultural landscape.
