Istanbul, Jan. 11 -- Indonesia's Foreign Minister Sugiono and Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on Saturday to follow up on the outcomes of the Indonesia-Turkey 2+2 foreign and defense ministers' talks.

The meeting took place at Dolmabahce Palace and lasted nearly an hour, according to information received here.

Sugiono and Sjamsoeddin were received by Erdogan and held a closed-door discussion, accompanied by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Defense Minister Yasar Guler.

The meeting followed the Indonesia-Turkey Joint Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense held in Ankara on Friday, conducted under the 2+2 dialogue framework.
