Banten, July 8 -- Indonesia's Manpower Minister Yassierli has called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to eliminate the widespread practice of job brokerage, which remains common in industrial areas across the country.

"A circular letter alone won't stop job brokerage. It requires the support and shared commitment of all parties," he said during a visit to Serang, Banten, on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Manpower is currently working to build a more transparent and accountable recruitment ecosystem through its "Stop Job Brokerage" campaign.

Banten, one of the country's key industrial hubs, is the third location for the campaign, following similar initiatives in Karawang and Bekasi.
